Recently I had the pleasure to photograph Clemens Kuratle

Clemens Kuratle, born in 1991 in Bern, Switzerland, is a distinguished drummer, improviser, and composer who has significantly impacted both the jazz and pop music scenes. He began his musical journey at the age of six, studying under Ueli Enderli, and later honed his craft with Gerry Hemingway.
Kuratle leads several projects, most notably the band Ydivide, which bridges the British and Swiss jazz scenes. Their album «Lumumba,» released in 2022, showcases his compositional prowess and has been well-received within the jazz community.
In addition to his leadership roles, Kuratle collaborates with various musicians and songwriters, contributing his drumming and compositional skills to a diverse array of projects. His versatility and dedication to his craft have established him as a prominent figure in contemporary music.
